1980年12月8日JOHN LENNON在自家寓所前被一個最令全世界熱愛搖滾樂的人痛恨的瘋子連開5槍給打死了。這可能是當年唯一的一件大事兒，連CCTV都作了報道。

我忘了是哪一年知道的JOHN LENNON，我想更早知道的應該是THE BEATLES。我聼的第一首他們的歌兒應該是《HEY JUDE》,是一個無名的中國歌手翻唱的。後來，我知道了《HEY JUDE》、《YESTERDAY》和《LET IT BE》這三首膾炙人口的歌兒並不是出自JOHN LENNON之手，而完全是出自另一位才華橫溢的樂隊成員PAUL MCCARTNEY。其實我最喜歡的一首歌是後來JOHN LENNON離開THE BEATLES之後的那首《IMAGINE》。
