今年换的WC rebel ispeed,直观感受是真快啊,稍不注意就跑前面去了。滑了一礼拜才大致摸清楚这板子的脾 ...
epicski上有个ispeed的讨论。我转过来
Hi. I have a pair in a 180cm length. I'm 5'10", and 210. I love them. I also have a pair of 178cm Dynastar Course Pro's, which have a 74mm waist. I've skied and owned Fischer, Stockli, and Blizz Cheaters.
The Head is essentially the same layup as the GS ski that is available to most of us. Pretty beefy, and certainly adequate for 98% of those who race. It's a real GS ski with an 18M radius. It's described by many as being very "damp", like any good GS ski. Don't confuse damp with dead. I find that it's easy to tip up on edge, and that the tip really engages easily, and locks right into the turn shape. I've heard some people say that the ski isn't that quick through transition, and I think that's BS. It's plenty quick. If you're centered, and on the front of the boot, it's great. The KERS may help. Dunno about it. It skis, and feels like a real deal GS ski, but with a much shorter radius, so a bit quicker everything. I think PP's comment is right on the money.
For me, the Course Pro is more versatile, in terms of free skiing a GS cheater. My race career ended with the 1976 US Nationals. I spend a lot of time around the race world though, and I've skied an awful lot of Head and Volkl race skis in recent years, as my now adult "kids" were on them. The Head Cheater, IMO, is a bit more of a one trick pony, which it sounds like you want. It's a short radius GS race ski. I free ski more often on the Dynastars. If my home hill {a big one} is rock hard and buffed, and I'm going to be skiing wide open "firm" groomers, I'll grab the Head's. If I were thrown in a short radius course, like NASTAR, on a hard surface, I'd pull the Heads. If the snow were a touch softer, maybe the Dynastars.
The one thing that throws me off is the comment about a "softer" ski that the Volkl. I don't see it as being that ski. I have a hard time believing that a guy of your size with good skills wouldn't really like the ski, though. I would also start with looking at the 180cm length. The ski seems to ski differently in both the 175cm and 185cm. I've skied it in a 185cm, and really didn't like the feel. My brother has skied mine, and a 175cm, and felt the same. Two guy's opinions, no more.
Hope that helps rather than confuses. Just to add to the mix, my brother's new hard snow ski is the Atomic cheater. He's a great skier, and a gearhead, and he raves about that ski. I have not skied that ski yet. Hope to try his in a week or two. |
